Public playlists must not promote hate or discrimination; harass, threaten or target people; contain sexual exploitation or endanger minors; glorify graphic violence; encourage dangerous conduct; mislead people through scams, spam, phishing or harmful misinformation; expose private information; impersonate others; or distribute malicious links. These rules apply to the context of a collection, including its title, description, links and associated video thumbnails.
Context matters
Educational, documentary, scientific and artistic uses require contextual review. A phrase match flags a potential concern and does not by itself establish a violation. High-risk matches may be hidden pending review. Automated text checks are limited and cannot reliably understand every language, image or video.
What moderation changes
YTS administrators moderate YTS playlist records and public sharing. They do not remove or modify videos hosted on YouTube. YouTube controls its content and player under its Community Guidelines and Playlist Policy.
Restrictions and correction
A disabled playlist is hidden for at least 30 days. You may edit it, but the current content must be approved before it becomes public again. A blocked playlist is permanently hidden and scheduled for deletion from YTS after 30 days. Permanent deletion now is a separate irreversible action. An active appeal or retention hold pauses deletion. Your account's moderation notices explain the action, reason and review process.
Account enforcement and appeals
Five distinct confirmed playlist block or deletion cases deactivate an account. Temporary disables and unconfirmed flags do not count. A blocked playlist's later deletion does not create another strike. A successful appeal reverses its strike. Account access still requires administrator review if it was deactivated.
You may request review from the playlist notice or verify your email to appeal a deactivated account. Explain the context, corrections and why you believe the decision should change. Approval restores permitted account access, keeps prior history and begins a new enforcement cycle; it does not automatically republish restricted playlists.
Report a concern
Contact support with the public playlist URL, the relevant guideline and a short explanation. Do not send sensitive personal information or copies of illegal material. Use YouTube's own reporting tools for content hosted there.
See our Privacy Policy for handling of review records, retention and your choices, and our Terms of Use.
